The role requires strong organizational and cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to balance compliance requirements with practical operational needs. The Director will oversee external procurement support resources and initially participate in certain day-to-day procurement activities while building a scalable procurement function including additional internal staffing and systems that support efficient procurement operations across the organization.

  • Strategic Procurement Advisory - Provide practical guidance to internal teams on procurement requirements, documentation standards, and decision-making throughout the procurement process, including advising on procurement approaches that best support organizational priorities, timelines, and funding requirements. Help identify procurement risks, escalation needs, and strategic considerations early in the process to support sound decision-making and successful project execution.
