Contract Recruiting Coordinator
Location: Great Neck, NY
Employment Type: Temporary (6–9 months)
Pay Rate: $28–$38/hour
Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days onsite
We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Contract Recruiting Coordinator to support a fast‑paced Talent Acquisition function. This is a full‑time, hybrid contract role expected to last approximately 6 to 9 months. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive hiring and onboarding experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full onboarding lifecycle for new hires, including background checks, drug screenings, and pre‑employment requirements
- Serve as a central point of coordination between recruiters, hiring managers, HR, and cross‑functional teams
- Communicate clearly with candidates and hiring managers regarding onboarding steps, timelines, and next actions
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate onboarding or system‑related issues to appropriate HR, Legal, or Talent Acquisition contacts
- Resolve issues related to onboarding, payroll processing, and HR systems in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate and support new hire orientation sessions
- Prepare and distribute offer letters, agreements, and other employment documentation
- Maintain accurate and compliant records within the applicant tracking system; generate reports as needed
- Process employee status changes, including terminations, with a high level of confidentiality
- Support immigration‑related processes by coordinating with internal teams and external legal partners
- Assist with legal documentation requests and compliance‑related matters
- Contribute to special projects and cross‑functional HR initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high‑volume recruiting, HR, or talent acquisition environment
- Experience with Workday Recruiting or similar ATS platforms strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication abilities
- Service‑oriented mindset with a collaborative and approachable demeanor
- Proven problem‑solving skills with a focus on efficiency and process improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast‑paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
