The Connecticut General Assembly’s nonpartisan Office of Legislative Research seeks a full-time Legislative Analyst II.Primary responsibilities include staffing legislative committees, analyzing bills and public acts, drafting policy research reports, and preparing written and verbal responses to research questions from legislators and caucus staff.  Requires superior writing, research, and analytical skills; nonpartisanship; sound judgment; attention to detail; and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under pressure and be willing to work extensive overtime during legislative sessions.
BA required; MPA, MPP, JD, or other advanced degree strongly preferred. Public policy research experience and knowledge of state government and the legislative process are helpful. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.Please submit a cover letter and resume describing how your education and experience meet the minimum and desired qualifications for this position.
