The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on automation expertise, leadership experience, and a background in utility or energy environments where reliability, compliance, and system integrity are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy, test planning, and automation execution across multiple projects and releases
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites for UI, API, and integration testing
- Partner with product owners, developers, business analysts, and operations teams to define test coverage and acceptance criteria
- Oversee test execution, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and reporting of quality metrics
- Build and maintain automation solutions aligned with Agile/DevOps delivery practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Identify opportunities to improve test efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase coverage through automation
- Mentor QA team members and provide technical guidance on testing best practices, standards, and tools
- 8 years of experience in QA, test automation, or software testing
- 3 years in a QA lead or senior automation role
- Strong experience with Selenium, Java or Python, TestNG/JUnit, API testing, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Experience designing scalable automation frameworks and maintaining regression test suites
- Background in utility, energy, oil & gas, or related regulated enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, defect management, and release processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, REST Assured, or similar tools
- Knowledge of enterprise systems, data validation, and integration testing
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, cloud platforms, or operational technology environments
- ISTQB or similar QA certification
- Ability to lead quality efforts in a fast-moving, enterprise-scale environment
- Strong automation mindset with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Prior experience supporting critical business systems in energy or utility operations
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing quality practices across teams
