Overview

The Senior Procurement Officer plays a key leadership role in overseeing sourcing and procurement strategy for the Dover facility. This position ensures that materials, components, and services are acquired efficiently, supporting production schedules and cost targets while maintaining supplier excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Partner with the Segment Procurement Manager to align local and corporate procurement strategies.
• Oversee supplier performance metrics, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities through cost analysis and procurement data reporting.
• Mentor and collaborate with procurement team members to build capability and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and financial controls.
  
  

Reporting Structure

• Reports directly to the Dover Plant Manager
• Dotted-line reporting to the Segment Procurement Manager
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline required.
• 7 years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of financial implications of procurement activities and cost management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Excel-based reporting tools.
