Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support all core accounting functions, including:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll processing
- Own and execute the full month-end close process (with the opportunity to take full ownership over time)
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting, analysis, and management support
- Partner cross-functionally to support operational and business growth initiatives
- Play a key role in the implementation and ongoing optimization of a new ERP system
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and accounting principles
- Experience with AP, AR, and payroll processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working fully onsite in Benton Harbor, MI
- Experience supporting or leading ERP implementations
- Prior ownership of month-end close processes
- Experience in a growing or evolving business environment
