Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain prepaid schedules, allocations, and recurring accounting entries
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances
- Assist with financial reporting and general ledger maintenance
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding and accounting treatment of transactions
- Prepare payroll-related journal entries and support related accounting activities
- Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and accounting efficiencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- 5–7 years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
- Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Oracle experience preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
