What You’ll Do
- Lead cost accounting processes including inventory valuation, WIP tracking, product costing, and job costing
- Manage month‑end close activities, with heavy involvement on Days 1–2
- Review and reconcile raw materials, finished goods, and overhead allocations
- Analyze variances and provide clear, actionable insights to leadership
- Partner closely with operations and finance to ensure accurate and timely financial data
- Maintain and improve ERP data (Microsoft Navision and AS400 strongly preferred)
- Document processes and support transition of work as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or improve reporting and workflows
- 5 years of cost accounting experience (senior cost accountant level or above)
- Background in manufacturing or distribution required
- Experience with Microsoft Navision and/or AS400 is a significant plus
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Remote flexibility — onsite only during month‑end activities
- High visibility with leadership and cross‑functional teams
- Ability to modernize a function with many manual processes today
