- CFS is partnering with a well-established company in Mishawaka to hire a Cost Accountant
- This Cost Accountant will manage cost accounting duties like analyzing product costs, tracking variance, and helping leadership make data-backed decisions about profitability
- The right Cost Accountant will be detail-oriented, enjoy digging into numbers, and be the go-to person for all things cost, margin, and inventory
- Position is fully in-office in Mishawaka, IN| Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- Analyze manufacturing/product cost and cost of goods sold to determine room for improvement
- Prepare monthly cost reports, perform variance analysis, and reconcile cost-related accounts
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis for new or existing products
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, and production teams to capture and control costs
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and periodic inventory reconciliations
- Support audit and compliance efforts related to cost accounting
- 2-4 years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience required
- Strong ability with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (look for experience with cost modules)
- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills—ability to explain cost issues to non-finance colleagues
