We are seeking a hands-on, Shipping Supervisor for our new 500,000-sq-ft distribution center in Savannah, GA—the largest among our facilities nationwide. The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound operations within the distribution center, ensuring accurate receiving, efficient unloading, proper documentation, and smooth flow of inventory into the facility. This role ensures safety, accuracy, and speed while leading a team of receiving associates and collaborating with internal departments.
Position Type: Full-time, Exempt
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily shipping operations, including scheduling and prioritizing outbound shipments.
- Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and external partners.
- Review, prepare, and ensure accuracy of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete shipment of products to customers.
- Verify shipping orders and confirm they are processed correctly within the WMS.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped according to customer and operational requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for shipment status, delays, and shipping-related issues, communicating with the Warehouse Manager as needed.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies with carriers, internal teams, and external partners.
- Respond to customer and internal inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials handling and export controls.
- Promote and enforce safety standards and best practices within the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation.
- Generate and analyze reports related to shipping activity, costs, service levels, and performance metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to shipping team members to ensure performance expectations are met.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in warehouse shipping or logistics operations
- Previous lead or supervisory experience leading teams of 20 or more hourly associates
Work Environment:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Physical requirements may include standing for long periods, walking, bending, pushing, reaching, and lifting to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to material handling equipment and high-traffic operational areas.
