Northwestern University School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking on-campus, adjunct instructors for its non-credit Certified Financial Planner™ Certification Education program. Northwestern is a CFP® Board registered program that offers the coursework required for students to earn their CFP® credential. SPS’s part-time, evening curriculum is skills-based, with assessments designed to simulate the daily life of a successful planner. Our instructional philosophy emphasizes the best practices in the field, along with evolving standards, which keep students abreast of trends in this changing field.
Northwestern's CFP® program is offered on campus in downtown Chicago (339 E. Chicago Ave). Courses are offered each 10-week quarter. Please visit our website for more detailed information about our 7-course program: https://sps.northwestern.edu/professional-development/financial-planner/index.php
We are seeking CFP® professionals with expertise in estate planning for spring quarter classes. Additionally we are seeking CFP® professionals with interest in teaching the 7 courses offered in our board registered certification program on an as needed basis. Instructors may be able to earn continuing education credits as an instructor in a CFP Board certified course at SPS.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Five or more years of work experience as a CFP® professional
Experience teaching working adults
Experience using Zoom and a Learning Management System (Canvas)
Master’s degree preferred
