We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team, providing comprehensive bookkeeping and financial services to a diverse portfolio of business clients. In this role, you will manage day-to-day accounting operations, prepare financial statements, and engage directly with clients to discuss their financial health and strategies. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, handling multiple clients while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful financial guidance. Knowledge of basic loans and finance is a plus to support clients in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping tasks for multiple business clients, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain balance sheets, ensuring all assets, liabilities, and equity are accurately represented and balanced.
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to review financial reports, explain key metrics, answer questions, and provide recommendations on financial management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies or inquiries.
- Provide guidance on basic loans and financing options, such as evaluating loan terms, interest calculations, and repayment strategies (preferred but not required).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
- 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, ideally in a client-facing role or with multi-client management.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Required Skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interactions and presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) for data analysis and visualization.
- Basic knowledge of loans and finance concepts, including interest rates, amortization, and credit analysis (a plus).

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
