CF Logistics, LLC located in Chester County is the distribution division of Giorgio Foods has an immediate opening for Dispatch Logistics Specialist. 4 days a week, Wednesday- Saturday 10 hour schedule. 8AM-6:30PM.
Summary
Our Dispatchers work closely with drivers, dispatching routes, providing updates to internal and external customers, and assisting in other transportation related activities such as customer management, backhauls, and fleet management.
Essential Functions:
- Dispatches both company and third party carriers
- Monitors driver status and provide updates.
- Reports late trucks and issues to sales and internal teams.
- Based on driver feedback, confer with customers and/or sales personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for drivers, equipment, pickups, and deliveries
- Assists drivers dealing with unexpected situations such as a closed loading docks, overweight loads, and any type of accidents or equipment breakdowns.
- Works with shipping and yard jockey drivers to ensure trailers are loaded on-time.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Desire to help our drivers
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written English
- Ability to independently resolve problems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple requests.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
- Excellent phone etiquette
- One to three years of Logistics experience preferred.
