The Telehealth Coordinator manages and supports the delivery of virtual healthcare services, ensuring efficient, high-quality care through telehealth platforms. This role serves as a liaison between patients, providers, and administrative teams, facilitating smooth telehealth operations, technology troubleshooting, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule telehealth appointments for patients and providers.
- Support patients and providers in accessing and using telehealth platforms, including troubleshooting technical issues.
- Ensure telehealth sessions are conducted in compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate records of telehealth visits, including documentation, billing, and reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to streamline telehealth workflows and optimize patient experience.
- Train staff and providers on telehealth best practices, platform updates, and operational procedures.
- Monitor telehealth metrics, including utilization, patient satisfaction, and technical performance, and report findings to leadership.
- Assist in implementing telehealth policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with telehealth technology, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Health Information Management, or related field preferred.
- Experience in telehealth, healthcare operations, or clinical coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and scheduling software.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, patient privacy regulations, and telehealth compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
