POSITION SUMMARY
The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN/APRN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, the APN delivers high-quality, evidence-based care in accordance with scope of practice, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies. Qualifications:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope of practice.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with state regulations and organizational policy.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans.
- Provide patient education, health promotion, disease prevention, and counseling services.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Participate in on-call coverage, clinical rotations, or shift coverage as assigned.
- Adhere to infection control standards, medication management policies, and controlled substance regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement, utilization review, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.

- Completes required orientation and training as directed by the facility.
- Follows facility policies, OSHA safety rules, and procedures while on assignment.
- Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol.
- Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations.
- Demonstrates punctuality and dependability for assigned and confirmed shifts.
- Maintains required security clearance for the assigned facility.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
- Master’s degree or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited Advanced Practice program required.
Licensure & Certification
- Active, unrestricted Advanced Practice Nurse license in the state of practice.
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) required.
- DEA registration and controlled substance authority (as applicable).
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–3 years of clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse preferred.
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, behavioral health, or correctional health preferred.
