Key Responsibilities:
-
Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for children and adolescents.

Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications based on individualized treatment plans.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, educators, nurses, social workers, and families.

Participate in team meetings, care coordination, and treatment planning sessions.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with CFG and Virtua Health policies.

Provide psychiatric consultation and crisis intervention support as needed within the program.
Qualifications:

Current New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license with prescriptive authority.

Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.

Child and adolescent psychiatry experience strongly preferred.

Current DEA and CDS certification or eligibility to obtain.

Demonstrated ability to work with high-needs, at-risk youth populations in outpatient or structured settings.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

A trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally competent approach to care.
