CFD Research is hiring a Part Time Receptionist to work at the front desk, greeting and registering a wide variety of guests, ensuring Security protocols are adhered to. This is a Part-Time position that has the potential to transition to a Full-Time position. As the initial point of contact for visitors and calls, candidate will be required to maintain a professional demeanor, follow processes, and handle various situations. This position will report to the Administrative Services team and also work closely with Security and Facilities. This position will provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations, including, but not limited to:

• Shipping and Receiving
• Ordering office and coffee supplies
• Coordinating with vendors
• Conference Room Maintenance and Bookings
• Catering Ordering/Pickup
  
  

In addition to these duties, the candidate will support company activities and meetings in large and small conference rooms throughout the building. This support could be set up, food ordering, tear down, and other tasks required for the events. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, as this role provides the initial impression for multiple stakeholders and visitors. A successful candidate will be able to adapt to meet the needs of the organization and stay proactive to mitigate conflicts.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma (Bachelor's Degree a plus)
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
• Experience working in a customer facing role, preferably as a receptionist for a similar sized organization
• Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must to efficiently meet the demands of multiple internal and external stakeholders

Location: This role is based at CFD Research Corporate headquarters, in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite.
