CFD Research is looking to hire a Program Control Analyst at our Huntsville, Alabama headquarters. Position description:
- Provide proactive financial insights and control requirements, particularly regarding contract documents and modifications
- Accurately set up new projects in the Unanet GovCon ERP system, ensuring alignment with the contract regarding budget, contract type, and invoicing requirements.
- Monitor program costs, budgets, and support forecasting and project planning
- Analyze project financial performance and variances
- Routinely consult with Project Managers on analyze project financial performance and variances.
- Manage the full billing cycle, including preparing and submitting accurate final invoices to clients according to varied contract terms
- Maintain project setup, budgets, and billing modifications in Unanet
- Ensure compliance with government contract requirements (FAR, CAS, and related regulations)
- Support audits (DCAA, DCMA, and internal audits)
- Assist with IR&D tracking and reporting, as needed
- Proactively monitor A/R aging and assist in collection efforts.
- Coach and mentor other team members on project accounting procedures and best
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business
- 3 years minimum of Program Control Analyst experience is required
- Advanced knowledge of Excel along with good working knowledge of all other Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.)
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse teams
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with Unanet and the ability to learn accounting software programs
- Experience working in a DCAA-compliant environment
