CFD Research Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented, entry-level Accounting Clerk to support our Accounting team on a part-time basis. This role will focus primarily on processing and managing employee travel expenses, including invoices, reimbursements, and billing-related activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a professional environment.
This position would be approximately twenty (20) hours per week with commensurate benefits. Perfect position for someone that needs flexible days and/ or hours.

- Create and manage employee travel profiles in SAP Concur travel portal
- Monitor company-paid travel expenses and proactively follow up with employees to ensure expense reports are completed timely and accurately
- Track and manage unused tickets, credits, and travel funds to ensure proper utilization
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of government and company travel policies to support employees and ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and audit requirements
- Assist purchasing dept. with receiving processes, including documentation review
- Support basic procure-to-pay activities, such as matching receipts to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
- Candidate should be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to work for any employer.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 0–2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience (internship experience acceptable)
- Excellent communication and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
- Prior internship or office experience
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Familiarity with corporate travel procedures is a plus
