Feed Mill Coordinator
Job Mission
To work with the Production Manager and Assistant General Manager equally to oversee safe, efficient production of feeds and supervision of employees. Assist with quality control and regulatory compliance for Feed Division consistent with CFC’s vision to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Production Manager Equally in all duties listed below, as a hands-on working position.
Key Accountability: Feed Manufacturing
Assist with providing mill personnel with printed feed trailer orders on a timely basis.
Assist with receiving and scheduling orders from customers and CFC staff in a timely manner.
Assist with the printing of all feed trailer orders in a timely manner, oversee changes, and deliver according to schedule.
Maintain Preventive Maintenance with Documentation and check lists.
Must learn and be able to fluently run all old existing machinery and all newly installed equipment.
Manufacture all types of feed.
Key Accountability: Logistics and fleet communication
Assist with scheduling truck shipments to retail locations.
Assist with coordination of outbound trucking of bulk feed and direct orders.
Maintain open communication with retail locations and customers.
Assist with maintaining bulk delivery schedule. Keep current file of directions for customer locations.
Key Accountability: Inventory and Grain
Assist with sampling incoming ingredients for compliance of mycotoxin and quality standards.
Assist with maintaining records necessary to satisfy FDA, EPA, and State regulations.
Assist with grading grains as needed.
Assist with the purchase of and maintaining feed bag ingredients and bag inventory.
Key Accountability: Regulatory
Perform quality control and safety procedures in accordance with CFC Quality Assurance and Food Safety Plan for incoming ingredients and finished feed sampling.
Assist with medicated feed assay schedule and recordkeeping to maintain regulatory compliance with FDA and VDACS.
Maintain OSHA, CFC, and other housekeeping standards.
Key Accountability: Other
Lead production when Production Manager is not on site.
It is expected to represent CFC in a positive, professional manner at all times.
Adhere to all company policies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a feed production environment or (equivalent).
Training or Coursework in business and/or production scheduling (preferred).
Knowledge of livestock feed production.
1C Commercial Pesticide License, must obtain within 9 months.
CDL (preferred).
