What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Bulk Feed Truck Driver position at CFC Farm & Home Center?
About Us:
CFC Farm and Home Center is looking to add a team-oriented individual to our company! We are a local feed, seed, fertilizer, and retail business with seven locations throughout Virginia that have proudly served local farmers and members of the community since 1932. Here at CFC, we strive to serve both agricultural producers and homeowners across Northern and Central Virginia. We do this by manufacturing our own animal feed from locally sourced grains, offer services in agronomy and animal nutrition, and by providing a wide variety of products for all types of consumers.
What to Expect:
This individual is responsible for the loading, delivery, and unloading of feed at the customer's location. Other duties will include:
- Loading bulk feed into the delivery truck, being careful not to spill the product or damage the company vehicle in the process.
- Driving the product to the customer’s property for delivery.
- Unloading the product at the customer’s property, as directed, making sure to be courteous to the customer and considerate of his/her property in the process. Examples include closing gates, cleaning up any spills, etc.
- Assisting in the warehouse and with inventory, as needed.
- Assisting with repairs and maintenance, as needed.
- Keeping company vehicles clean and properly maintained. Duties include checking the oil, refueling, following DOT regulations, etc.
- Maintaining proper safety and housekeeping standards in the assigned work area, as described in the Employee Manual.
- Performing any other duties, as directed
Requirements:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- Acceptable driving record
