About the role:
The Secondary Market Manager position is responsible for developing and administering secondary market initiatives and managing the lock desk function. This position acts as a liaison to investors and works to maintain favorable relationships with internal and external partners, reporting directly to the President of Residential Mortgage Lending.
What you’ll do:
- Manages mortgage investor relationships and related functions, while also managing the lock desk overall including loans that will be placed in the portfolio.
- Works with senior leadership to determine mortgage loan pricing strategy and administers related processes and systems.
- Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
- Ensures accurate and meticulous data input of lock information into our LOS (Encompass) database including trade and pricing information related to sales of mortgage loans.
- Locks loans with investors and monitors and maintains pipeline; researching and completing re-locks, lock revisions, and lock extension requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provides support to shipping and post-closing departments.
- Offer recommendations and work collaboratively to streamline and improve processes and perform other related duties as assigned.
- Comply with internal security policies and procedures and maintain customer confidentiality at all times.
- Adhere to all regulations, policies, and record-keeping requirements. Complete all required training related to bank regulations and policies.
- Accept other responsibilities and projects as requested to add value for CFBank.
