Job Responsibilities
• Draft and distribute commercial real estate closing documents for acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and financings for North American and European transactions under the supervision of attorneys
• Prepare deal checklists and monitor status of deliverables
• Prepare signature page packets and coordinate delivery of same
• Assemble final executed documents for closings
• Assist in maintaining a digital database of closing files by tracking and filing new documents
regularly
• Manage the procurement of lien releases following the release of mortgage debt
• Prepare and deliver corporate documents
• Assist in the drafting of various asset management documents, such as default notices,
landlord consents, and lender consent requests
• Assist with word processing requests, including PDF conversion and redlines
• Notarize documents (including apostille) as needed; and
• Attend to various administrative tasks, including mailing and reconciling invoices
Requirements
• At least 2 years of experience drafting commercial real estate closing documents or other transactional documents
• Experience preparing and delivering corporate documents (e.g. formation documents, operating agreements, written consents, etc.)
• Ability to read and understand corporate documents
• Strong project management skills
• Notary public of New York certification preferred, or willingness to obtain notary certification
• Excellent attention to detail and process; problem solver and trouble-shooter
• Self-motivated and self-structured; ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Unquestioned integrity
