Position Summary:
The Accounting Intern will support the Finance/Accounting team with day-to-day administrative and basic accounting tasks. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and a foundational understanding of accounting principles in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with annual audit requests for 2 Puerto Rico locations
- Work on trial balance creation for Puerto Rico locations
- Perform basic account reconciliations under supervision
- Organize and update financial spreadsheets and reports
- Assist with month-end close activities as needed
- Collaborate with team members on ad hoc projects and assignments
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (coursework is sufficient)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
