What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for a hands-on Service Manager to run day-to-day service operations out of our Sun Valley yard. This role supports film production by keeping our fleet of trucks, RV trailers, and generators ready to go - on time and without issues. This is not a desk-only role. You’ll be in the yard, working alongside the team, jumping in when needed, and making sure everything gets done.
• Run daily service operations and keep the team on track
• Schedule and prioritize maintenance, repairs, and equipment movement
• Ensure trucks, trailers, and generators are clean, operational, and ready for delivery
• Jump in to assist with troubleshooting and turnaround of units as needed
• Coordinate service calls and ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Ensure all work whether performed in-house or by outside vendors is completed in accordance with safety standards and applicable regulations, including DOT requirements for commercial vehicles
• Order parts and maintain an organized, accurate parts inventory
• Coordinate with outside vendors for repairs, including obtaining estimates and scheduling work
• Compare quotes and make cost-effective decisions on parts and service while maintaining quality
• Track maintenance, work orders, and purchases using internal systems
• Use Excel and other tools to monitor and manage operations
• Maintain organization, safety, and overall readiness of the yard and fleet
• Provide guidance and training to technicians to support skill development, consistency, and quality of work
• Solve problems quickly and keep work moving to meet deadlines
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in fleet, shop, or service environments (rental experience is a plus)
• Hands-on background as a technician strongly preferred
• Strong RV trailer experience highly preferred; solid working knowledge of trucks preferred
• Working knowledge of generators preferred
• Comfortable getting your hands dirty and stepping in wherever needed
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; Class A CDL highly preferred (ability to move equipment as needed)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a strong plus
• Comfortable using computers and systems for tracking maintenance, work orders, and purchasing
• Proficient with Excel and basic office software
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, especially around parts, inventory, and follow-through
• Able to manage multiple priorities and make practical, cost-conscious decisions
• Able to stay organized and keep operations moving in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
• Willing to work nights and weekends when needed
- • Able to lift 50 lbs and work in a busy yard/shop environment with noise, machinery, and automotive materials.
About the Role:
You’ll split your time between coordinating the team and being out in the yard making things happen. This role is focused on keeping equipment moving, staying ahead of maintenance needs, controlling costs, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
