VT Underage Purchaser

Computer Evidence Specialist (CES) is looking for reliable, detail-oriented individuals between the ages of 17-20 to perform non-confrontational compliance checks on local tobacco retailers in the state of Vermont. This is to ensure that retailers are abiding by federal regulations and not selling tobacco products to persons under the age of 21. Compliance inspections are conducted alongside a commissioned Investigator. This work is conducted on a part-time, case-volume basis with flexible scheduling.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Identify and verify the establishment information provided to you and the Investigator.
• Participate in non-confrontational compliance inspections by attempting to purchase a tobacco product; you should not attempt to be deceitful about your age.
• Purchaser should feel comfortable travelling alongside one of our commissioned Compliance Inspectors.

Required qualifications/skills:

• 17 - 20 years old
• Must currently hold a valid Vermont issued ID
• Attention to detail
• Strict adherence to deadlines and privacy

  • All Underage Purchasers are required to complete two trainings prior to conducting inspections. CES compensates for all completed trainings.
