- Maintain commercial refrigeration systems and equipment, including walk-in coolers and freezers
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in refrigeration equipment, making repairs or replacements as necessary to restore functionality
- Hand and manage refrigerants according to federal and state regulations, including recovery and disposal when required
- Respond to services calls promptly, provide excellent customer service and efficiently resolve issues
- Interact with clients to understand their refrigeration needs and provide recommendations for equipment or maintenance services
- Maintain accurate records of service performed including work orders, parts used and any pertinent details about the systems serviced
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations and environmental standards
- Stay updated on the lates technologies, tools and industry practices to enhance skills and knowledge in commercial refrigeration
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record, as this position may require driving a company van to various job sites
- 5 years of experience in troubleshooting, installation and service of commercial refrigeration
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment common to the trade
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Ability to climb a ladder up to 24’
- Ability to lift 50 – 100 lbs.
- EPA, Refrigeration– Type II or Universal certificate preferred
