CES Academy is seeking dependable, caring, and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers for the 2026–2027 school year. As a Cognia-accredited, faith-based Christian school, CES Academy is committed to academic excellence while nurturing students' spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth.
Our classrooms utilize a differentiated learning approach, recognizing that every student learns differently. We are looking for substitute teachers who are flexible, compassionate, and committed to supporting a Christ-centered learning environment where every child is encouraged to reach their God-given potential.
Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher while maintaining instructional continuity.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment.
- Support differentiated instruction by adapting to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain effective classroom management and encourage positive student behavior.
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including classroom activities and transitions.
- Take attendance and complete any required reports for the regular teacher and administration.
- Uphold the mission, values, and policies of CES Academy.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a classroom, childcare, tutoring, or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels and classroom settings.
- Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Support and respect the Christian mission and values of CES Academy.
- Must successfully complete all required background screenings and employment eligibility requirements.
