Assistant Principal – CES Academy (K–12)
About Us: CES Academy, managed by Children’s Educational Services, Inc., is a faith-based, K–12 private school serving approximately 150 students with diverse learning abilities. Our mission is to help each student grow in their God-given strengths within a Christ-centered, academically excellent environment. We’re accredited through Cognia and operate with a small, collaborative administrative team.
We are seeking an experienced, mission-minded Assistant Principal to join our leadership team and support the Principal in managing daily school operations, faculty development, and student achievement. This is a 12-month position requiring initiative, flexibility, a passion for education, and a leader who thrives in a “wears many hats” environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal may be assigned the following responsibilities):
- Uphold and promote the school’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions
- Support the policies, goals, and directives of the Support Team at Children’s Educational Services
- Maintain a positive school culture based on mutual respect and shared expectations
- Promote a safe, effective, and pleasant teaching and learning environment
- Oversee student safety, welfare, and campus care
- Assist with financial and operational oversight in alignment with budgetary guidelines
- Administer and enforce school policies and state regulations
- Manage discipline and student behavior consistent with the school’s code of conduct
- Collaborate on faculty and staff evaluations and professional development
- Supervise standardized testing
- Analyze school-wide academic and behavioral data to inform instructional decisions
- Lead curriculum implementation and support teacher effectiveness
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Communicate effectively with families and the broader school community
- Support the planning and execution of school events including sports, Chapel, etc
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Florida Department of Education Leadership Certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school administration
- Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate preferred
- Experience with exceptional student education and inclusive practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Technologically proficient and comfortable using school-related software
- Committed Christian with a heart for service and leadership in a faith-based setting
- Must pass a Level II background check and hold a valid driver's license
