We are hiring an Operations Manager to lead our Dallas, TX location. Reporting directly to the SVP Operations, this role exercises command over trade execution, multi-crew leadership, quality control, technician retention, and field-level profitability. Direct reports include trade leaders (e.g., Pest Control and Landscaping) to build a high-performing, unified branch presence.

You will act as a courageous guardian of Cerv’s brand reputation, quality execution, and field morale, empowered to lead crews, optimize routing and equipment utilization, enforce safety standards, and build a high-retention environment that brings a new level of precision and white-glove polish to commercial landscape operations.

Duties

You will operate with an ownership mindset, driving performance against the key scorecard outcomes:

● Executive Leadership, Strategy and Trade Integration: Serve as the senior operational leader for the branch location, aligning strategies of vertical markets – Landscaping, Pest Control, Janitorial – to achieve overarching business goals. Direct and coach leaders of the market verticals to build operational synergies, streamline routes/schedules, share best practices, and drive cross-functional excellence. Serve as the ultimate champion of branch cleanliness, uniform standards, fleet condition, and core values, acting as an individual contributor in the field when necessary to solve issues. Maintain uniform branch SOPs, strict quality control standards, and white-glove execution across all trade services.

● Talent Acquisition, Retention, Culture, Safety: Hiring: Full ownership of recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding top-tier trade managers, crew leaders, and technicians in a competitive labor market. A-Player Retention & Culture: Drive an environment of clarity, enthusiasm, and high accountability to achieve target employee retention rates across all divisions.

● Training & Safety Compliance (Uncompromising Standards): Direct onboarding, hands-on field operational training, OSHA compliance, and equipment operation safety protocols to maintain an uncompromising standard of safety across all crews and vehicles.

● Financial & Market Performance: Manage the overall branch Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, taking strategic ownership of labor costs, inventory ordering, overhead, and gross margin targets. Collaborate with executive leadership to construct annual budgets, monthly financial forecasts, and resource allocation plans across trade lines. Ensure strict adherence to compensation/pay structures and maintain accurate timekeeping, production metrics, and reporting compliance.

● Growth & Customer Advocacy: Client Retention: Take complete ownership of client outcomes, ensuring seamless, proactive service delivery and fast issue resolution to maximize account retention. Revenue Expansion: Partner directly with Account Management and Sales teams to identify, quote, and cross-sell/upsell additional service lines to existing accounts. Shared Resources: Ensure fleet vehicles, facilities, tools, and technology resources operate safely and seamlessly across all trade divisions.

Qualifications

● 5 years of hands-on experience in operational management, including direct leadership responsibility.

● Ownership & Urgency: Demonstrated A-player mindset with a deep-seated sense of personal ownership for all outcomes, intolerance of mediocrity, and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

● Direct pest, pool, landscape, janitorial, and/or exterior industry experience

● Experience with associated equipment and fleets

● Familiarity with residential, HOA, multifamily, and commercial property operations

● Experience or comfort with sales or upsell acumen in a service-based industry
