Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our biological Manufacturing operations division in Butte, MT. The candidate will have a wide range of maintenance skills to include mechanical work on factory machinery and experience in building systems such as heating and ventilation. Key to this position are general maintenance skills to oversee the upkeep of plant facilities where they may replace fuses and filters, and install electrical items. Maintenance Technicians maintain a safe working environment, completing routine safety checks and responding to emergencies such as power outages and damage to buildings. Responsible for maintenance tasks of the process equipment, packaging equipment, grounds, buildings, including mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, packaging equipment, building systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
o Completing small repairs to maintain building operation.
o Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers, safety signs, Lockout Tagout equipment, and equipment safety devices
o Performing grounds maintenance such as mowing lawns, trimming bushes, removing weeds, shoveling snow, removing ice, and applying sand and ice melt.
o Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by colleagues.
o Organizing and maintaining tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively.

Work Environment:
o Work environment shall be the plant environment consisting of three buildings.
o Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions
o Frequently exposed to hot locations working around equipment
o On-call after-hours and on-call weekends for emergency situations only.
o Transporting and picking up small parts, tools, supplies, and propane.
· Education/Experience:
o Requires a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
o Requires minimum three years related work experience.
o Associate degree in similar field preferred.
o Requires the ability to obtain a Boiler License using on the job training.
o Requires ability to obtain an EPA 608 Refrigeration License using on the job training.
o Plumbing experience preferred.
o Electrical three phase experience preferred.
o Welding experience preferred.
o HVAC experience is preferred.
· Wage & Compensation:
o Starting wage will be commensurate with experience and qualifications; range offered is $18.00 - $26.00 per hour.
