Working alongside Lead and Senior Financial Advisors, the Associate Fiancial Advisor (AFA) helps prepare for client meetings, support financial planning, coordinate operational workflows, and ensure that important details are handled accurately and on time.

From day one, you'll contribute to meaningful client work while building technical expertise, professional judgment, and confidence to take on greater responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Support: Partner with Lead and Senior Financial Advisors to prepare for and participate in client meetings, respond to client requests, coordinate follow-up activities, and help deliver the responsive high-touch service that distinguishes Certior.
- Financial Planning: Gather and organize client information, prepare financial planning analyses, and support recommendations across retirement, investments, tax, insurance, estate, and cash-flow planning while expanding your technical expertise through real client work.
- Meeting Preparation & Coordination: Coordinate the full lifecycle of client meetings by preparing agendas and organizing meeting materials, documenting discussions, maintaining CRM records, preparing draft client recap communications, and ensuring both action items and client commitments from planning through execution are completed accurately and on time.
- Professional Development: Participate in client meetings, shadow and learn alongside experienced advisors, expand technical expertise, pursue professional development and continued education including CFP® designation, and progressively assume greater client-facing responsibility as your experience grows.

Qualifications

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in wealth management, banking, financial planning, client service, or a related professional services environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn and effectively use financial planning technology.
Preferred
- A CFP® certification or strong interest in progress toward pursuing the designation.
- Experience within an RIA or wealth management firm.
- Familiarity with tech systems such as MoneyGuide, eMoney, Holistiplan, Nitrogen, Orion, Wealthbox, or similar platforms.

Starting base salary for this role begins at $70,000 with compensation increasing based on relevant experience, certifications, and demonstrated capabilities.
