Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Entry Level Driver Trainer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are retired and passionate about driving and eager to share their knowledge and skills with a new generation of young drivers. The Entry Level Driver Trainer will be responsible for training new drivers in various driving techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Duties
- Conduct training sessions for new drivers on safe driving practices, vehicle operation, and company policies.
- Evaluate trainee performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Demonstrate the operation of various commercial vehicles including box trucks, tractor-trailers, and shuttle buses.
- Assist trainees in understanding mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, evaluations, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with management to develop training materials and improve existing programs.
- Ensure that all training complies with government requirements and company policies.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess a combination of the following skills and experiences:
- Experience in commercial driving
- Familiarity with various types of vehicles such as dump trucks, tankers, flatbeds, and heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills for presenting ELDT theory and professional verbiage to effectively convey information during training sessions.
