POSTED ON 10/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/5/2026

Our financial client is seeking an HRIS\HCM Project Manager for a long-term, hybrid contract role. This is a hands-on position requiring someone who can combine strong project management discipline with practical business analysis skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and workstreams, while also rolling up their sleeves to understand business processes, gathering requirements, document solutions, and help drive issues through to resolution.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience delivering HR Technology projects, be highly organized and proactive, and be an excellent communicator who can work effectively across HR, Technology, vendors, and other business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage HR Technology projects and workstreams from initiation through implementation, ensuring clear scope, plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, action trackers, and other project governance materials.
  • Coordinate activities across HR, Technology, third-party vendors, and other stakeholders to keep projects progressing against agreed timelines.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery blockers and drive them through to resolution.
  • Facilitate project meetings and working sessions, ensuring clear decisions, actions, owners, and follow-up.
  • Provide concise and effective project updates to stakeholders and project sponsors.
  • Support implementation planning, testing, change readiness, and go-live activities as required.

Business Analysis

  • Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business needs, current processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured, and actionable business and functional requirements.
  • Document current-state and future-state processes, requirements, workflows, use cases, and acceptance criteria as appropriate.
  • Work closely with Technology teams and vendors to ensure requirements are understood and appropriately reflected in proposed solutions.
  • Assist with test planning, development of test scenarios, UAT coordination, defect management, and business sign-off.
  • Maintain strong traceability from requirements through solution delivery and testing.

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience project managing HR Technology / HRIS projects, ideally involving implementations, integrations, enhancements, or significant process change.
  • Strong understanding of core project management principles, including planning, governance, risk and issue management, dependency management, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong hands-on business analysis experience, including requirements elicitation, process analysis, requirements documentation, and stakeholder workshops.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, actions, and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences.
  • Proactive and delivery-oriented, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get into detail when required.
  • Able to work independently, bring structure to ambiguity, and identify what needs to happen next rather than waiting for direction.

Desirable

  • Experience with enterprise HR platforms and technologies such as Workday, ServiceNow, ADP, or similar.
  • Experience delivering projects involving HR systems integrations, data migration, artificial intelligence, reporting, security, or workflow/process redesign.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with third-party implementation partners and technology vendors.
  • Understanding of HR processes across areas such as Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Performance, Compensation, Learning, or Payroll.
