Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Takoma Park, Maryland for a Content & Strategy Specialist. The specialist will be responsible for creating engaging and impactful content for multiple platforms, developing content strategies, conducting research to inform content creation, and optimizing digital presence. Daily tasks include content creation, writing, editing, proofreading, managing campaigns, and ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. The role also supports marketing initiatives by incorporating creativity and strategy to engage diverse audiences effectively. Travel required.
Strategy & Execution
- Translate the marketing strategy into actionable content plans and campaign assets.
- Execute on a clear content calendar—scheduling, publishing, optimizing, and reporting on performance.
- Support the Creative department in developing campaign strategies, messaging frameworks, and creative approaches.
- Identify new opportunities for content that supports brand growth, engagement, and lead generation.
- Analyze content and campaign performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration & Workflow
- Work closely with the Creative Director and Marketing department to bring strategic initiatives to life through creative storytelling and execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand priorities and support their content needs.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Communicate proactively about progress, needs, and potential roadblocks.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or a related creative role.
- Strong writing, design, and conceptual storytelling skills.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Experience developing and executing content across digital platforms.
- Understanding of marketing fundamentals and how content fits into broader business strategy.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant creative work (writing, social content, design, campaigns).
