Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings using standard passenger cars
- Support clients in developing social skills and behavioral management strategies tailored to individual needs
- Collect data on client progress and document observations accurately for care planning purposes
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols when necessary and trained to do so
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure coordinated care
- Implement behavior support plans designed for clients with autism or other developmental disabilities
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health practices
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred for effective communication with clients
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and social services principles
- Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely and responsibly for client transportation
- Background in home & community care, caregiving, or social work environments
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- First aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies
- Experience assisting with medication administration and data collection processes
- Compassionate approach to supporting clients with cognitive disabilities and developmental needs

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
