We’re looking for a Category Analyst to join our team and play a key role in shaping sales, promotions, and marketing strategies through data-driven decision-making. In this role, you’ll support Category Managers, analyze market trends, track competitive pricing, and help develop programs that drive success.

What You’ll Do

• Support Category Managers in selecting, pricing, and positioning products
• Analyze and interpret data to drive strategic business decisions
• Stay ahead of trends and monitor competitive pricing
• Collaborate on promotions, advertising, tradeshows, and product launches.
• Ensure accuracy in data entry and contract loading.

Requirements

Job Summary

Analyze strategically gathered data to drive decisions related to sales, promotional activity, marketing, and other business operations. Accurate completion of data entry tasks in support of the Category Management team.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide support to the category manager in selecting, pricing, and positioning of category products
• Analyze, interpret, and provide insight to support the category development projects and initiatives utilizing various data sources/tools
• Stay updated on category trends and competitive market
• Compile competitive pricing market checks for the assigned category managers to ensure competitiveness in the market.
• Compile necessary documentation to assist Category Manager with business/category reviews
• Communicate information about new products and changes to relevant teams within the organization
• Provide support for product advertising, tradeshows, promotional events and recalls
• Load promotional contracts, cost changes, and analyzing their impact for assigned categories
• Build new items based on category recommendations from Category managers
• Support in developing programs jointly with Category managers to drive sales and product awareness
• Be regular in attendance and comply with the Company Attendance Policy
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Strong analytical skills and solid comfort level with data
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task between analytical work and short lead time projects based on current needs
• Results driven, strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excel proficiency required
• High degree of initiatives with strong planning skills
  
  

Education And Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent
• 2-3 Years of industry experience
• Intermediate Excel skills
