Education/Requirements: Must be able to read, write, and understand oral and written instructions. Minimum, high school graduate with post high school industrial electrical education, or 5 yrs work experience in industrial electrical field. Prior Experience: One year experience in manufacturing or industrial operations preferred. Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Primary Job Responsibilities: Works in shop or plant to inspect, repair, install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, devices, circuits, fixtures and facilities. General Activities Include: Performs duties and assigned tasks safely by following established safe work practices and procedures by using proper safety equipment, reporting unsafe work conditions and become involved in the safety process in the prevention of accidents and injuries. Receives instructions from supervisor. Maintains housekeeping in assigned work area. Performs electrical maintenance on all types and sizes of AC and DC motors and generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic devices and controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, power distribution and control circuits, conduit and fittings, wire and cable, hardware, insulation and programmable controllers associated with equipment and facilities. Locates electrical malfunctions, isolates circuits, dismantles, inspects, adjusts and replaces faulty parts and wiring or power transmission lines and equipment, works on “hot” voltage lines as required. Inspects and /or tests electrical equipment . Performs mechanical work in connection with electrical repairs. Working knowledge with electrical testing equipment. Maintains accurate records of electrical equipment as necessary and appropriate. Performs duties as assigned by supervisor. This is a 3rd shift position, 8pm-6am. Starting wage is based on skill and experience.
