Payscale: $12,400 over the school year. Additional work opportunities may br available as well as pay supplemented via fundraising/camps.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Assistant Coach position for the Men's Soccer team at Cerro Coso Community College, located in Ridgecrest, CA. The Assistant Coach will support the Head Coach in planning and leading training sessions, developing game strategies, mentoring student-athletes, and fostering their academic and athletic growth.
The role involves ensuring compliance with rules and regulations while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and excellence within the team.
Recruitment of student athletes (both domestic and international) will be a large role in this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Soccer Coaching and Coaching principles to aid in team and individual athletic development.
- Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with athletes, the Head Coach, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of Soccer and its techniques, strategies, and gameplay to support player performance and program goals.
- Goalkeeping experience is prefer
red but not required.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills for scheduling practices, managing team logistics, and fostering a positive team culture.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all players.
- Relevant coaching certifications or licenses, and prior experience in collegiate or competitive soccer programs, are preferred.
