About the Position
CSA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Youth Soccer Coach to lead our programs. Working with the 5 to 10-year-old age group requires a unique blend of high energy, patience, and a deep understanding of early-stage player development.
We are looking for a seasoned professional who can move beyond basic babysitting on the pitch and deliver structured, engaging, and age-appropriate technical training that builds a strong foundation for our young athletes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute Curriculum: Plan and lead high-quality, structured training sessions focused on technical fundamentals (dribbling, passing, receiving) and physical literacy (agility, balance, coordination).
- Player Development: Assess individual player abilities and adapt coaching methods to ensure every child is progressing and gaining confidence.
- Parent Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, providing regular updates on player progress, team goals, and scheduling.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe training environment, manage equipment properly, and strictly adhere to all club safety protocols.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Coaching Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience coaching youth soccer, specifically working with players under the age of 11.
- Licenses/Certifications: US Soccer Grassroots Certification, USYS "E" License, or equivalent international License.
- Skillset: Strong understanding of small-sided games, youth soccer methodology, and age-appropriate tactical concepts.
- Clearances: Must pass a comprehensive background check and possess valid SafeSport and Concussion training certificates (or be willing to obtain them immediately).
- Availability: Must be available for evening practices Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 pm-6:30pm.
- Bilingual is a plus (spanish)
