Nature of Work

Manages and develops standards and procedures and directs quality control staff. Responsible for ensuring construction projects meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and client expectations in terms of quality.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Develops understanding / working knowledge of company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
- Oversees and assists direct reports with the implementation of quality assurance policies & procedures in compliance with local, state, and project documents related to quality assurance standards at the project level.
- Leads and inspires team performance and productivity in alignment with project level quality program and departmental goals and objectives.
- Provides administrative and technical direction to all quality control personnel – includes personnel administration, resolution of technical problems, developmental/approval of in-house training, etc.
- Act as a liaison to Operations Manager, Superintendent, Project Managers, and QAQC Site Supervisor to ensure consistent use of technology, practices, and education resources.
- Visit project sites to monitor progress, maintain relationships, and verify quality program adherence and customer satisfaction.
- Supervises Quality Site Supervisors and Quality Specialists and their implementation of QC management processes; provide guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a cohesive and proficient team that upholds quality standards.
- Assist in coordinating use of jobsite controls and evaluation of technologies that may help leverage the company within the industry.
- Exercise initiative or, as directed, perform additional duties to meet the needs of the organization.
- Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner.
- Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards.
- Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role.

- Critical eye for identifying defects and a commitment to high quality construction standards
- Possesses a proven track record of successfully managing quality on large-scale projects
- Strong ability to lead, collaborate with, and function well within a team-oriented environment; possess ability to motivate, develop, and lead a diverse team
- Showcase exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to address challenges and make informed decisions within a dynamic environment
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents; knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to learn new computer programs or software systems
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience
- May require contract-specific education and/or experience
- 10 years or more of related work experience preferred
- Will have supervisory responsibilities
- Physical demands for this position may be heavy. Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, lifting of heavy items (50 – 75 pounds), walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, climbing, or similar activities. The work may require specific but common physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
- Standard project site environment that may include machinery, parts, and chemicals. May require protective gear.
