Compensation & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $28/hour
- After 6 Months: Increase to $30/hour
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM
- Hours: 35–40 hours per week
- Pay Frequency: Biweekly
- Worker-Ownership: Eligible after initial period
- Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (fluids, tires, safety equipment, etc.)
- Follow designated routes using the routing app or as assigned by the operations manager
- Safely operate a garbage truck to collect source-separated organic waste
- Load and unload totes and containers (must be able to lift/push/pull over 100 lbs)
- Operate hydraulic hand controls for lifting and disposal at designated facilities
- Maintain a courteous, professional demeanor with customers
- Adhere to company policies and all local, state, and federal driving laws
- Complete route logs and other reports as required
- Perform preventative maintenance and report issues promptly
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with GPS, routing apps, and service logs
- Clean driving record and understanding of DOT regulations
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical knowledge for inspections and troubleshooting
- Waste collection experience is a plus, but not required.
- Physically demanding role: frequent heavy lifting, bending, and climbing
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including rain and humidity
- Exposure to vehicle vibration, noise, and refuse odors
- Moderate noise levels and mechanical hazards present
