Location: Remote/Travel

Reports To: Superintendent, Quality Control (QC) Manager, or Project Manager

Compensation Range: $17–$20/hour (Non-Exempt), plus housing and daily per diem

We’re building a ready-to-deploy pipeline of trained Field Operations Support Associates to support emergency activations across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. As a Field Operations Support Associate – Debris, Quality & Compliance you will ensure quality, compliance, and production integrity of our debris removal and emergency response activations. In this role, you will serve as a direct field presence. You will monitor truck & crew activity, verify debris eligibility, and oversee the performance of assigned crews and subcontractors across active job sites.

You may oversee between 2-6 field crews, which will be dependent on project scope and your level of experience. Ensure safe and efficient operations in full compliance of the contract scope of work. You will maintain accurate production and load documentation while fostering strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

You must be able to work 7 days a week, 12-hour shifts during emergency activations and work in varying environments and climates.

What You Will Do

  • Read, understand, and adhere to all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies.
  • Monitor work in the field for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility by working close with crews. Daily quantification of trucks and locations, haul rounds, and debris quantities.
  • Verify debris eligibility in accordance with contract specifications and FEMA guidelines. Document and log any ineligible or non-compliant debris promptly.
  • You may oversee 2-6 collection crews.
  • Conduct ongoing field inspections of debris removal activities, work zones, and staging areas.
  • Support the management of contract schedules and agreements, ensuring accuracy and organization.
  • Provide daily report data based on activity.
  • Communicate proactively with your direct report to identify and address issues and prevent disruption to operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support project success.

 

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in debris operations, disaster recovery, construction, or related field operations.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA debris eligibility and documentation requirements preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and deploy on short notice to disaster-affected locations.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, during emergency activations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working at a lead level on a USACE, FEMA, or other federally funded emergency response project.
  • Working knowledge of FEMA/USACE debris eligibility requirements and load ticket documentation processes.
  • Experience overseeing subcontractor performance and compliance.
  • Experience using GIS based-software
  • Prior experience working with or alongside a debris monitoring company. Candidates with production and operations backgrounds are strongly preferred over those with only monitoring experience.
  • Experience in quality control in construction or disaster recovery environments.
  • First Aid/CPR certification, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, CQM-C, or other QC certifications

Physical Requirements and Environment

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, and balance in varying conditions.
  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must have specific vision abilities including close, distance, and color vision.
  • Must be willing to wear PPE (hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, etc.).
  • Ability to work in challenging environments including outdoor weather, mechanical areas, heights, confined spaces, and loud noise levels.
  • Commitment to following safety standards and protocols.
