CDL Driver

 Job Summary:

Drives gasoline or diesel powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver product.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Drive truck locally and OTR
• Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.
• Maintain driver log according to I.C. regulations.
• Assist workers in loading and unloading truck.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of six months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Current CDL A Driver's License.
• Clean driving record.

• Proven competency in driving.
• Is consistently at work and on time, willing to work adverse weather conditions 
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Meets productivity standards.
• Observes safety and security procedures; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to run walking floor trailers, end dump and straight trucks
• Ability to run skid steer loader and Front end loaders. 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; duck walk, reach with hands and arms; climb into trucks or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
