Position Summary:

The Quality Process Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products, materials, and manufacturing processes meet internal quality standards and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining ISO certification requirements, supporting process control, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the plant. The Inspector will conduct in-process and final inspections, perform measurements and tests, document findings, and collaborate with production personnel to identify and correct quality issues in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process, final, and first-piece inspections of ceramic components to ensure compliance with dimensional, visual, and functional specifications.
  • Verify that all manufacturing and inspection steps comply with ISO and customer-specific quality system requirements.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs, and optical comparators to verify part conformance.
  • Monitor and record process control data; identify trends and escalate deviations to engineering or production leads.
  • Ensure process documentation, inspection records, and quality reports are accurate, complete, and traceable.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities for internal or customer nonconformances.
  • Participate in internal audits and support external ISO or customer audits as needed.
  • Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure adherence to control plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify that gaging and measurement equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement within the Quality and Production departments.

Qualifications - Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment; ceramics, metals, or precision components preferred.
  • Experience working within an ISO certified manufacturing facility strongly preferred.

Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and basic statistical process control (SPC).
  • Strong understanding of inspection methods, sampling plans, and process verification techniques.
  • Skilled in using measuring instruments and test equipment accurately and consistently.
  • Strong documentation and data entry skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and making sound decisions in fast-paced production settings.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and airborne particles.

  • Regular physical activity required, including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift 55–60 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to sit in office environment and stand for extended periods.
  • Use of PPE with regular exposure to plant environment, including heat, noise, and ceramic dust.

Work Schedule:

  • Straight 8-hour shift with voluntary overtime as production requires.
  • - 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
