EVENT SECURITY STAFF.
Cerberus Security is a West Michigan based company that is growing rapidly in the event/music festival space across the country. Currently licensed in 15 states, we are seeking to expand our team for an upcoming event in the Chillicothe, IL area from May 21st - May 24th. These positions are perfect for individuals that are retired or have summers off, and anyone looking to supplement their income.
Ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and event attendees. This role requires a proactive approach to security with superior customer service at its core. Shift times and duration vary.
Responsibilities may include
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Perform crowd control, vehicle searches, bag searches, check ID, and utilize handheld metal detectors.
- Conduct regular foot patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required for investigations or emergencies.
- Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Assist in general security efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing security measures.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, EMS, or military service is beneficial.
- Possess strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Those with backgrounds in management, customer service, and administration are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
Must have a valid and current Illinois Security PERC card.
All candidates must be able to physically perform the tasks required for all positions, such as standing or walking continuously for a 12-hour shift and be able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including constant sun and heat.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
State law requires all security officers be over the age of 18 and pass a criminal background check.
