Title: Cerberus Business Finance Reporting & Analytics Associate

Job Purpose

Cerberus Business Finance is seeking an Associate to join our Direct Lending team. This person will join our growing Direct Lending team and will be responsible for or involved with a variety of strategic data initiatives and maintaining our data platform. This position aims to provide critical analytical insights and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize and maintain existing SAP Business Objects and Power BI reports, with ability to write new reports and adapt to successor systems as required.
• Collaborate with individuals within the Cerberus Business Finance team to gather requirements for report development and identify opportunities for operational improvements. Ask pertinent questions and create new analytical reports to meet evolving needs.
• Ability to analyze P&L drivers and assist with fund performance reporting to management.
• Manage and maintain data for the Cerberus Business Finance, including data accuracy, performing cleanup activities, and ensuring data integrity.
• Involvement in ad-hoc strategic projects including technology initiatives and system enhancements as required.
• Ability to interact with front office investment professionals and supporting groups within the firm, as well as institutional investors and their associated advisors.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in a related role; Experience working in private equity, hedge funds, or other financial institutions.
• Experience with Power BI, SAP Business Objects, or Tableau required
• Understanding of Direct Lending or Private Credit is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience with Anaplan, Python, or equivalent platforms are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather requirements, identify trends, and generate actionable reports.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of funds and fund structures, financial statements and accounting, including European-style waterfalls.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; strong quality control
• Strong work ethic and integrity, candidate should be a team player that is highly organized and self-motivated.
• Desire to understand and work with Artificial Intelligence platforms is a plus.
