Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Quality Management and the Quality Assurance Team by improving our quality systems to ensure that products and services meet or exceed customers’ expectations in quality, delivery, and service.
- In accordance with company objectives and AS9100D /ISO9001:2015 standards, work closely with the Business Units and Support Groups to develop programs that will educate and coach personnel, measure and analyze performance data, and assist in establishment of methods to do tasks right the first time, in a cost-effective manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Evaluate incoming assembly products dimensionally and visually to assure that product meet customer requirements as defined by the print.
- Evaluate final completed product dimensionally and visually to assure that product meet customer requirements as defined by the print.
- Analysis of data through basic statistical methods (average, standard deviation, Cpk, gage R&R, etc.)
- Work with manufacturing and support functions to better utilize quality methods to improve their processes/products.
- Assist in defining, deploying, and evaluating a proactive methodology for continuous process/product improvement. This may include, and is not limited to, training and use of control plans, Failure Modes Effects Analyses (FMEA’s), Quality Functional Deployment, Cause & Effects Diagrams, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments/or Taguchi Experiments.
- Assist in development/implementation/maintenance of on-line system(s) to collect, manipulate, analyze, and chart quality data.
- Provide technical/statistical support within QA department and to all other departments requiring such assistance/guidance.
- Aid and training for technical measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, CMM, optical measurement systems, and surface finish equipment.
- Perform special measurements as required
- Performs other related duties and assignments as directed.
- Fluent with Net-Inspect Portal & Net-Inspect Fai’s, Customer Portal uploads.
Education, Prior Work Experience, Specialized Skills, Knowledge:
Preferred
- 5 years experience in quality control environment or Equivalent
- Associates degree in related technical field preferred
- Advance Blueprint Reading
- CMM Programming / MicroVu Programming
Required
- High School Diploma
- 2 years experience in quality control environment or Equivalent
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and tools (micrometers, microscopes, comparators, surface analyzers, laser micrometers, rank video metrics)
- Basic Blueprint reading
- Knowledge of statistical tools
- Knowledge of AS9100D/ISO9001:2015 standards/requirements
- Knowledge of Team oriented problem-solving techniques
- Proficient in MS software
