Leasing Agent

CEP Residential’s Leasing Agents are smart, driven, and results-oriented team members with a passion for customer service and expertise in multifamily property management. A Leasing Agent is Responsible for assisting the Community Manager in maintaining the physical asset and maximizing the financial returns from that asset in accordance with the company’s objectives while promoting the Company’s professional standards of quality. Assists Community Manager and supervisors with special projects and administrative tasks. Assists in assuring staff compliance with company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS WHAT YOU’LL DO

Relationships

  • Reports to Community Manager
  • Assists in maintaining relationships with all residents, ensuring consistent application of property policies
  • Assists in maintaining relationships with other departments within the Company
  • Assists in maintaining relationships with the community and the profession
  • Assists in maintaining relationships with suppliers, vendors and professionals servicing the Company or property

Marketing and Leasing

  • Show units and run applications for criminal and credit background checks
  • Assists in supervising the Leasing Staff and Maintenance Personnel, if appropriate
  • Assists in preparation of advertising and marketing program
  • Visits competitive properties and assists in preparation of regular market surveys
  • Assists in preparation of weekly and monthly reports
  • Review credit and criminal background history on rental applications (credit and criminal) and lease forms for accuracy and compliance with resident policy
  • Collect rent, post to accounting system and deposit rents into the bank
  • Make recommendations to improve marketing and leasing programs
  • Log appropriate accounting transactions as they take place
  • Answer the phone and take messages
  • Maintain traffic log
  • Minimum 1 years residential property management experience with working knowledge of tenant and eviction laws
  • Experience leading a high-performing team
  • Familiarity and comfort with performance metrics and financial concepts
  • Demonstrated proficiency in working with computers including word processing, calendar management, software/database, and social media
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
