SHIFT DET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Machine Operator, Auto Blaster, HA is responsible for performing, modifying and maintaining basic programs and changing off-sets on an ABB robot. WHAT YOU WILL DO The Machinist, CNC reports directly to the area Supervisor. Performs basic machining functions to produce parts. Operates multiple machines simultaneously. Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance. Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets. Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision. Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community. Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Completes all required training. Reads and understands customer specifications based on customer blueprints, Customer Requirement Sheets (CRS), and/or other written documentation; seeks clarification when needed. Preps and fixtures orthopedic implants, placing fixtures in machine, programming and operating machine. Performs general maintenance on equipment including filling hoppers with mesh and repairing fixtures. Ensures measurement equipment and other hand tools, such as calipers and micrometers, are maintained in good working order, replacing or requesting repair as needed. Records data on specified forms, both manual and computerized, when needed. Ensures defects or errors are immediately highlighted for supervisor review. Responsible for following 5S practices in work area, performing general cleaning including sweeping, mopping and trash removal. Responsible for accurately clocking in/out for the day and on/off jobs throughout the day using internal computer software system.
